In conjunction with our local teachers’ initiative to improve the percentage of fourth-grade students reading at or above grade level, we have assembled a team to plan a book festival for Madison City. We believe we’ve created an event that, while appealing to both adults and children, will promote literacy and encourage a life-long love of reading by bringing famous authors, publishers and illustrators together with the people of Madison City. Special guests this year include:
Elizabeth Harris: movie star and author of Dinosaur Robot
Sun-Hee Lee: author of Flower Castle
Courtney Bell: author of Happy Land and other bed-time stories
Daniel Foster: author of the Chronicle of the Airplanes from 1900s
