The Allentown Food Bank will hold its third annual fundraiser on Monday at Beaver Brook Country Club in Clinton Township, from 5 to 8 p.m. It is being held in honor of food bank director Patty Apgar, who retired in September after 14 years of service. During those 14 years, the bank went from 1 volunteer, 1 full-time staffer and 3 part-time staffers, to nearly 800 volunteers, as of last year, with 7 full-time and 10 part-time employees. Music and food will be provided, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the food bank.
