Good morning, and welcome to the Cooper’s residence.(87)My name is Victoria Ellis and I will be your tour guide today.(86)The Cooper’s residence was home to the prominent Hollywood actor, Bill Cooper for nearly 20 years. Mr. Cooper moved into this house in 1960 at the age of 36 just after his award winning performance in "Taming the Dragon." He lived here until he lost his battle with leukemia in 1980.(88)The house was purchased by the Local Film Association and opened to the public in 2003. The house was designed by the famous architect, Jeffrey Martin and everything has been preserved just the way it was when Mr. Cooper lived here. As we tour the house, you will notice the unusual art work and furniture in all of the rooms. Mr. Cooper loved to collect these exotic items from his extravagant trips around the world.
