W: That’s terrible news. I knew we’d suffered some losses recently, but I didn’t know things were so dire. I’ll bring this to the attention of the shareholders at Thursday’s meeting.
M: Good idea. They need to know what kind of state the company is in. Would you like me to prepare a document to pass around?
W: That would go down well. I’m sure the directors would prefer to have a hard copy of the figures.
