答案    It is important that anyone operating a word processor has the best possible conditions in which to work to avoid any health hazards and the following should be borne in mind:
   The Keyboard
   The keyboard should be detachable so that operator can move and angle it to suit individual needs. An adequate palm rest—the area between the space bar and the edge of the keyboard—should be provided to avoid wrist and arm fatigue. The recommended width of the palm rest area is 50 mm. The slope or angle of the keyboard is important and should be between 5 and 15. The keyboard must be stable and well balanced.
   Inputting Text
   A copyholder should be provided for an operator, as much of the time will be spent‘copy-typing’. The holder should be adjustable so that it can be angled to suit the individual. Some copy holders have a ruler attached which can be moved line by line down the copy manually or by using a foot pedal connected to the ruler to move it.
   This will help the operator in that when inputting text the eyes are mainly on the copy and it is only necessary to glance at the screen from time to time. A copyholder saves the operator from moving the head up and down from copy to screen, which would, after a time, become tiring with the eyes continually having to adjust and re-focus to the different distances.
