答案                        REPORT: SOLAR WATER HEATERS
      As requested in your e-mail of April 5th, I wrote this report about the sales of our water heaters in this part of the country, which is based on my investigation among all the leading distributors of water beaters here and 1, 000 consumers.
      According to our investigation, many local consumers know little about solar water heaters. Even though some know about the advantages of solar water heaters, they prefer electric or gas water heaters. There are two major reasons why consumers make such a choice. One reason is that electric or gas water heaters are thought to be easier to handle and more economic because gas and electric heaters themselves are less expensive than solar ones and the gas and electricity are inexpensive here. Another reason is that for at least three months in a year, there is not sufficient sunshine or no sunshine at all in this part of the country.
     In order to Jet more consumers know more about these energy-saving water heaters, it is imperative for us to launch a sales promotion campaign of solar water heaters. Meanwhile, the prices of our solar water heaters should be made more reasonable and competitive. Finally, we need to improve the design so that electricity can be used for the heaters in case of no sufficient sunshine.
     If we take the above-mentioned measures, more consumers will use our energy-saving water heaters.
