The need for opening a branch
    With the fast growing of our business and the booming of fast food industry, I think it’s time for us to expand our business. We currently welcome about 2,000 customers per day and many customers come a long way to eat in our restaurant and they even urge us to open new branches in their areas.
Market analysis
    On one hand, consumer expenditure for fast food has drastically risen over these few years. People are becoming busier and busier and they do not have enough time to cook after work. On the other hand, more and more people pay attention to the quality of the food. Our restaurant offers healthier food for our customers and they can choose from a wide selection of cuisines, such as Cantonese dishes which tend to be lighter and use fresh ingredients.
Action plan for opening the branch
    First, we have decided on the location of the new branch. It is located in the downtown area where there are many shopping malls and office buildings. Then we have learned about our competitors. We have also found that there are relatively few fast food restaurants surrounding that area, only a couple of fast food restaurants offering western food and drinks. We also send questionnaires to people in that area and the result suggests that our new branch will meet their needs for healthier and cheaper food and drinks.
Conclusion
    Based on the studies above, I think it is quite necessary for us to open a new branch of our fast food restaurant in that area.
