Introduction
This report sets out to analyse the sales performance of our new product and to recommend some promotional activities to promote sales.
Observation
According to the sales figures of the previous quarter, the new product sells well in most part of the country and 2/3 distributors have added stocking for a second time. Specifically, it is very popular to boys in north part of the country while not so popular in the southern-east part. What’s more, sales in west part of the country show fluctuation in April and a sharp increase in June. As for the east part, it didn’t show any difference from other products.
According to the market research to the product, most customers say they like the color and functions of the product, while some customers think that the music is not so attractive. Research in south part show that parents’ consumption habit needs to be guided as they are not accustomed to spend much money on a toy. Products of small size with less money will enjoy a huge market there. Furthermore, gift set of the product is demanded as many people will buy them as a gift. Recommendation
As the summer vacation is at the corner, which will be a busy season, some promotional activities like "buy one and get one free" and "5% discount" should be promoted. Also, some changes should be made to the product. First, more attractive music should be added. Second, some small-sized product of the same kind but at a lower price should be designed to meet the need of the south market. Third, gift set should be manufactured.
