Introduction
The purpose of this report is to investigate the current conditions of the equipments to make them serve our jobs more effectively and to give my recommendation for replacement of old-fashioned items.
Findings
As requested by the Managing Director, I made a thorough investigation on the printers of our company and found the following problems. First, some printers are so old that paper often get jammed when printing, which do harm to our daily work. Second, some ink cartridges are not working and need to be replaced. Third, some printers are bought many years ago and consume materials much more than modern ones.
Conclusion
As a result, I strongly recommend that some measures be taken to make the printers to help increase our work efficiencies and to save more in the long term.
Recommendation
Here are my proposal to solve the problems mentioned above: First, some new ink cartridges should be bought to replace the old ones. Second, some new printers should be purchased soon. According to a survey to different types of office printers, I narrowed our choice to two types. Type A is relatively cheap but consume more materials and is not very suitable in the long run. Type B is a little expensive when buying, but it is material-saving and will save us a lot of money in the future. Therefore, I recommend that we should buy six pieces of Type B printers to replace the current ones.
