The table chart shows the purchase of rice for each quarter of 2009 and 2010 in an European company. The company’s purchase of rice in the year 2009 had a steady increase, from 100 million tons in the first quarter to 130 in the end of the year, which meaned an increase of 10 million tons each quarter. Purchase of rice in 2010 has a great increase compared with that of 2009, 140 million tons of rice were bought at the first quarter of the year, and the volume soared to 160 million tons to the second. It shows a decline, however, in the third quarter but then regained its momentum again in the end.
From the table chart we can see that the company is advancing year after year, though there was a step backwards in the third quarter of 2010.
