    This proposal sets out to examine options for the successful globalisation of our ’Borders’ brand.
    The initial market under consideration is Continental Europe. For the purposes of this proposal, we will be considering three aspects of the brand. namely our logo, the ’Borders’ concept and finally, the product itself, ’Borders’ boots.
    Proposals
    The following points summarise my major proposals:
    1. My design of a new logo, a pair of Wellington boots encircled by the word ’Borders’. can be visual enough to use in markets where English is not widely spoken.
    2. Attitudes to outerwear differ throughout Europe, so we should try to make our boots appeal to different market sectors in different countries. This has serious implications for the benefits of our products we wish to publicise. Although Danish farmers would be willing to purchase such a high-quality product, farmers in some countries would be unlikely to choose a British brand over a domestic product. However, we should insist on the very British style of the product and make it appeal to the style-conscious elements of the French and Italian markets, summoning up images of the English upper classes.
    3. Try to make our products multi-purpose. In this way, they can adapt to suit different sectors of the European market.
    Conclusions
    In order to introduce our product to different markets, we should reconsider the logo, style and purpose of our products.
    Recommendation
    We recommend that further studies be carried out into the marketing strategies best suited to different European regions.
