   • the sales in different markets:

   • the conclusions about the sales;
   • the suggestions for future sales strategy.

   • you promise that the terms and conditions will be better on a large order.

Findings:
   Generally speaking, the sales volume of the previous quarter rose by 15 per cent compared with the same period of last year. The total volume was US$ 9, 800,000.
1. In the domestic market: The total volume was US$ 4,121,000.
  (1) Sales in coastal cities such as Shanghai, Xiamen, etc. sharply increased because of the quick economic development in those areas. The sales volume was US$2,201,000;
  (2) Sales in inland areas, on the other hand, were not so good. The sales volume was only US$1,920,000.
2. In the international markets: The total volume was US$5,679,000.
  (1) Sales in the countries of South-East Asia such as Singapore, Thailand, and so on, decreased. This is owing to the fact that our products are a little out of date;
  (2) Sales in the USA, Canada, and Mexico grew steadily, increasing by 10 percent compared with the period of last year. The sales in the EU, however, dropped slightly, because some powerful competitors from Japan are doing very well there.
3. Sales of laptop computers accounted for 36 per cent of the total sales volume.
Conclusions:
There is a good prospect in coastal markets of China. Potential markets in South-East Asia still exist. Besides, the sales in USA are promising.
Recommendations:
(1) Some capable sales force should be sent to the inland areas of China to develop markets.
(2) New models of our products should be developed to meet the increasing demands.
