M: Hello. Can I speak to Shelly Frankie, please?
F: Speaking.
M: Ms Frankie, I’m Kenneth Lawson from Personnel Department of C &A Insurance. And I’d like to make a few things clear before your interview with the head of the department.
F: OK, no problem.
M: Well, I understand that you are applying for the position of marketing manager.
F: Yes, that’s tight. I majored in marketing when I was at college.
M: Where have you worked before?
F: My last job was with Pioneer Furniture.
M: What was your position then?
F: I was the sales assistant. I enjoyed working with people.
M: How long have you been working altogether?
F:  About three years.
M: I see. Ms Frankie, as a marketing manager, you have to go all around the country and even the world for business, so I would like to know whether you have a family, if you don’t mind.
F: I am still single, but I do have a boyfriend.
M: OK, that’s good. Now comes the last question, what qualifications do you have?
F: I have a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Lancaster.
