Woman: Oh, I’m sorry, but he is out on business this afternoon. Can I help you?
Man: Yes, please. I need to get a message to him.
Woman: Of course. Is tomorrow morning soon enough?
Man: Well, actually it’s rather urgent. I’m calling about the meeting of the Finance Committee. I’ve been having some serious problems with the new software, and I’m not sure if I will have all the spread sheets ready for our meeting tomorrow afternoon. Can you ask Paul if we can postpone the meeting and have it on Wednesday, which I think was one of the alternative dates we discussed?
Woman: Well, the best I can do is to contact him at home this evening.
Man: Yes, that’s a good idea. Thanks. Err, I’m not available this evening, but if he’d like to change it to another day, could you ask him to call my home number and leave the details with my wife. And she will be in all evening. I will be grateful if he could do that...
