Woman: Hello, Robin. It’s Cindy here. Can I speak to Jacie?
Man: I’m afraid he is busy now. Can I take a message?
Woman: I’ve just been reading the job advertisement in the newspaper with Vacu-pack, which makes packaging for fresh food. I think it will be perfect for him.
Man: Oh, what’s the job?
Woman: They are looking for a sales executive. Isn’t that the kind of thing he’s looking for?
Man: Yes. Does it say what the job involves?
Woman: There’s quite a big job description, but the main thing seems to be that he’ll be in charge of sales in Central Europe. Oh, no, it’s not the case. Here it says that’s done already. And actually he shall undertake sales in Southeast Asia. Sounds quite interesting.
Man: Well, it will be better than what he’s doing at the moment. He is saying that there are too many calls everyday but they are seldom for him. Even worse, he is almost buried in the load of files and documents which seems impossible to sort out. You know that sort of administration work in the office is so boring. Anyway, does it say what sort of qualifications are required?
Woman: Well, there’s nothing here about that. But it does say that they’re seeking someone who can speak foreign languages. That’s OK for him since he has ever lived abroad and he speaks English, doesn’t he?
Man: Yes, and French, too. When do the applications have to be submitted?
Woman: The 13th of September is the closing date.
Man: Sorry, did you say 13th, or 30th?
Woman: The thirteenth, 13.
Man: OK.
Woman: I can fax him the adverts so he can see it himself.
Man: Yes. That’ll be great. Thanks and I will give him the message.
Woman: OK. I’ll do it now.
