Man: There are several things happening for members of the business community this month. Starting on Thursday June the twelfth, there’s a two-day conference called ’New Developments’, which brings together the city’s most important business people with business leaders from across the country. The event takes place in the Town Hall and offers an interesting programme of speeches and seminars. Day one concentrates on how companies can raise money for joint ventures, and day two looks at employment law. The occasion will be both high-powered and entertaining, with speeches from well-known people, among them Michael Hill of KTC. Giving the key speech of the conference will be the senior partner of a city legal firm, Dr James Black.
    The following Wednesday, June the eighteenth, there’s an all-day event called ’Fast Forward’. This will be held at the Ocean Park Hotel, to bring together new members of the city’s business community and introduce them to suppliers, in an attempt to build further business in the city. It’ll also be a chance for members to generally improve their business skills.
    Finally, on Friday June the twenty-seventh, there’s a seminar called ’Future Planning’, to be held at the City University. This is to help companies look at their financial arrangements and the possibility of floating their company, with the aim of securing long-term growth. The speaker will be Paul Miller, former Chairman of Fasttrack Holdings, who is now Director of Westwick Business School.
