    What is a mistake? You must be inclined to know its exact definition. According to Webster’s New World Dictionary of the American Language, a very influential dictionary I have ever known, a mistake is an idea, answer, act, etc, that is wrong.
    It is generally thought that a mistake is something had and does harm to one’s career development and should be avoided. But this viewpoint is just one-sided. In fact, people have heard of beneficial mistakes. For example, Aristotle thought mistakenly that the heavier a falling object is, the faster it falls. But it is Aristotle’s mistake that gave rise to Galileo’s deep thought and enabled him to draw a correct conclusion.
    No one can avoid making mistakes. As a human being, neither can I. Every time people point out my mistakes, I always take a modest attitude and I am always ready to correct them.
    Do you know how I treat others’ mistakes? On the one hand, I regard others’ mistakes as my lessons and as what I should avoid.  On the other hand, I’ll point out others’ mistakes and help them correct them if they can not.
