    As the world develops, more and more new and modem things, values appear, then some old values are gradually forgotten or even thrown away. Lei Feng spirit, as a representative virtue in the 1960s and 1970s, also cannot escape such a destiny.
    People now think that Lei Feng Spirit is out of date, and the hero Lei Feng is too silly, because he only thought of other people, while in the modem people’s opinion, human beings should behave for their own interests.
    But in my opinion, Lei Feng Spirit will never be outdated; on the contrary, it’s badly needed in modem society and will forever bloom. When crossing the bustling road, the elderly and the children will be safer if Lei Feng Spirit is still there. We often can see such pictures: in the public places, the running water is running joyfully or the light is shinning brightly while there is not a single man using it. It’s often claimed that we run short of natural resources, but still can’t be thrifty; if Lei Feng Spirit is still carried on, then there will not be unnecessary waste.
    In the fast-developing world, people have lost too much, though made enough material achievement. We can’t afford further loss in spirit and virtue, so Lei Feng Spirit, as a virtue should be firmly succeeded to and carried on generation to generation.
