    I wish to apply for the position of part-time assistant you advertised in Qianjiang Evening during the coming summer vacation.
    I am a student at Zhejiang University, which is only five-minutes walk from your shop. I feel that my qualifications and work experience make me a suitable candidate for the job, which, according to the advertisement, demands a multi-lingual person with some experience. Chinese is my mother tongue, and I have a fair mastery of English. As a keen traveler, I have learned some Japanese and French, and have acquired an understanding of the cultures of Japan and France. As for experience, I worked part time as a waiter in a pizzeria. Therefore, I am confident that you will find my service satisfactory. Incidentally, could you please inform me of the rate of payment?
