    Nowadays,many people think that,with the development of globalization,we should use one language as the common language. However,others think that by doing so the cultures of different nations will be lost. As for me,I am in favor of the latter one. The reasons are as follows:
    First,language is not only a tool of communication but also a type of art. Every language has its unique history and essence,which leads to the variety of the world. So,diminishing other languages will make our world less colorful. Second,language is a product of culture, it plays an important role in culture. Language is influenced and shaped by culture. Cultures differ from one another,and so do languages. Thus,we shouldn’t remove other languages.
    As has been discussed above,we may arrive at the conclusion that speaking a common language is convenient for people all over the world,but we should protect our own language so as to keep the diversity of cultures.
