A lot of people today are animal rights advocates. Some of them are very passionate and even quite radical about the issue. But others argue that "human rights" will always take priority. 答案
Animal Rights Should be Respected
In the habitual thinking, "human rights" will always take priority. Some people even believe that the most basic human rights are not adequately protected in many places, let alone animal rights. But in fact, the purpose of advocating animal rights is to encourage people to love and protect animals. It is wise for us to better understand the relationship between humans and animals.
In the first place, we should respect the intrinsic value of animals rather than regard them as tools, which is precisely deduced from the philosophical demonstration of human rights. Animals should be allowed to own their rights like human beings based on their intrinsic value, or at least they have the right of being sheltered from abuse. It can be said that there is a mutual promotion between animal rights and human rights. In the second place, to protect animals is to protect ourselves. The survival of wildlife is facing with a variety of threats due to the deterioration of the environment and hunting. For instance, there are over 100 kinds of creatures disappearing from the Earth every day. Their extinction will lead to the disappearance of many genes that help crops to overcome the harsh climate or even a new plague.
In summary, it is really important to build a harmonious society that respects life. In such a society, human life is to be respected, and animal life is also to be cared about. Thus, it is worthy of thinking about how to protect animal rights.
