My friends and parents also enjoy talking to me through telephone and no one bothers to write me e-mails. We call each other whenever we want as long as not to call each other late at night.
Also, being able to reach friends and family members is important in emergency.
Suppose you are in trouble and need help from friends or parents, it’s better to make a phone call to your friends and get their help immediately. In such a case, I don’t see sending e-mails can be any helpful and efficient.
