   With the development of society, China is becoming more and more prosperous. But there also exit many social problems, such as unemployment, pollution, abduction and others. Among them, piracy is a very serious one. Piracy refers to the copy or reproduction of the books, CDs, tapes, software without permitted by authority or the writer. Sometimes, it’ s difficult to distinguish the piracy from the original because they look alike. Piracy infringes not only the consumers’ profit but also the original producers and the author’ s reputation. Comparatively speaking, the original producers suffer from the most loss. As we all know, the producers must spend large amount of money on a book publishing. However, the piracies only cost little perhaps one tenth. From the part of the consumers, piracy do harm to their life. For instance, if you use the piratical tapes, the recorders will be affected until one day they can’ t work.
   Then, why there is piracy? Firstly it’ s on the purpose of the illegal producer’ s profit. The piracies are blind with greed. They ignore the laws, show no consideration for others’ profits. They pirate for money, for their own profits. On the other side, some people who are keen on gaining petty advantages are also a very important aspect. The piracies are cheaper than the original. For the sake of some money, people prefer the piracy.
   Since piracy do harm to the producers, writers, and consumers, how do we solve this problem. The cancellation of the piracy requires the unity of all the people. The publishing house should use more hi-tech against the piracy. Secondly, the consumers dare say no to the piracy. When the piracy appears, it will disappear automatically in that nobody pays attention to it. Finally, the authority should have a continuous fight leaving no room for the piracy. I wish one day this problem can be dealt with successfully with the effort of all the people.
