What do several airlines blame the European authorities for? [br]
As forecasters say that a cloud of volcanic dust spreading from Iceland across Europe shows some signs of moving, officials have expressed hope that up to half of all flights across Europe could operate on Monday. The European Transport Commissioner and Spanish Minister for Europe were speaking after talks with the air traffic agency, Eurocontrol. Warren Bull reports. After adopting a cautious approach up till now, the airline industry has increasingly pushed the European authorities to end the flight restrictions which have caused travel chaos in Europe and beyond. (9) Several airlines, including KLM and Lufthansa, have expressed anger that the decision to ground flights appears to have been taken solely on the basis of the computer simulation. (10) They say they’ve carried out their own test flights and reported no problems. Conscious of a need to show strong leadership over the air travel crisis, European Union transport ministers are expected to hold an emergency video conference on Monday.
选项
A、Ban on flights has been lifted.
B、Test flights of some airlines have been carried out successfully.
C、Volcanic dust spreading from Iceland has settled.
D、All flights are expected to be in service on Monday.
答案
B
解析
细节题。有几家航空公司已经自行进行了试验飞行,没有发现问题。原文是“They say they’ve carried out their own test flights and reported no problems.”火山灰只是暂时不移动了,周一欧洲将有一半的航线恢复运营,因此A、C、D都不是正确答案。
