No piece of string was【C15】_______short to escape her attention.She saved the string off parcels and packages of all sorts,even luggage labels. Christmas was a torture for her,【C16】_______she could not bear to see us taking scissors to【C17】_______the string round our brightly【C18】_______Christmas presents, and would sit anxiously watching, repeatedly diving to the floor to【C19】_______an end that had been carelessly thrown away.
