Armenia has charged 5 men with first-degree murder and terrorism in the death of the Prime Minister and 7 other leading politicians in an attack on Parliament Wednesday. Officials say if convicted they could face the death penalty. Meanwhile Parliament’ s trying to organize a special session to elect a new speaker and deputy speakers. Also Armenia’ s national security minister handed in his resignation, joining the interior minister who stepped down last week. President Robed Kocharian has so far not accepted either resignation.
