答案                 What Caused the Dyed Steamed Buns Issue?
Just after the revelation of the notorious dyed steamed buns issue, which has given rise to wide concern among both the government and the public, reports on scandalous poisonous bean sprouts emerged on the newspapers on its heels. The causes, as far as I am concerned, are inundation of materialism, lack of regulation, and absence of morality.
Obviously, the inundation of materialism is flooding both society and our mind once again. And it seems that the bold desire for money shows no sign of fading away but stays right on its way to reach its peak. Once holding to an ideology of money is everything, the emergence of dyed steamed buns is no surprise.
Lack of regulation also results in these issues. We can easily imagine a scene that many of our government officials sit with their idle hands and do nothing at all but get a salary. Scarcely would they do anything to regulate the market, which, as anyone with basic common sense knows, would definitely lead to the chaos and illegal operations of the present market.
Last but not least, the absence of morality, which, to a large extent is rooted in the two former causes, plays a prominent role. People without morality will do anything for money. Luckily, to some extent, we are just having steamed buns with additives but not TNT, or DDVP, for the latter two cannot give those producers more profit.
We call for a shield against materialism, the spear of regulation, and the halo of morality. We need a world where one doesn’t have to hesitate before he/she eats.
