The head of Fiji’s Red Cross Society, who acted as a mediator in last year’s political hostage crisis, has been hacked to death at his home in the Fijian capital, Suva. Police officials say the body of Fiji’s Red Cross Director John Scott was found Sunday amid a scene of "incredible violence" at his home in a Suva suburb. The body of a second man was also found.
