    Kuso, as a mimicking or parody to the mainstream culture, is becoming increasingly commonplace nowadays. There are heated discussions as to whether kuso is a bad thing or not. In order to draw a conclusion, we need to consider both its advantages and disadvantages.
    The targets of kuso are often the mainstream or classic culture; so the blind pursuit of fun and individuality of kuso will twist the traditional values and shake the ideal and faith. The damages are especially harmful to teenagers, who are unable to distinguish the right from the wrong. A good case in point is the popular Chinglish proverb " Good good study, day day up". I don’t think students can learn the correct way of speaking English from it.
    However, the strong point of kuso should not be disregarded. Firstly, an unique kuso is not only the splendid demonstration of creativity and intelligence, but also a good way to relieve our stress and tension. Secondly, some of the Internet kuso are more than a means of entertainment. There exists successful case of kuso which serves as a bitter satire to the social evils. The well-known parodied Spring Festival Gala is the best criticism to the high house price.
    From the above we can see it is not easy to give kuso an accurate assessment. Therefore, as far as I’m concerned, kuso culture is in need of correct guidance and strengthened supervision.
