    The development of information technology, especially the Internet, has made an increasing number of various e-books accessible to people. Some claim that e-books will replace traditional books someday because they are more portable, transferable, searchable and most important of all, less expensive. But as I see it, they will not and cannot take the place of traditional books.
    Firstly, heavy exposure to e-books and electronic e-quipments can exert negative effects to people’s eye-sight It can cause eyestrain or increase the risk of radiation. On consideration of health, people are more inclined to read traditional books rather than e-books. Secondly, the pleasure and convenience brought by traditional books cannot be exceeded by e-books. For example, you can make any note on the book if you have any new idea; you can read in bed before sleep or during a boring journey, without worrying that the battery tends to run out on the edge of a cliff-hanger moment Last but not least many books are unavailable in digital forms because of copyright Many authors are unwilling to have their hard-accomplished books duplicated and disseminated for free.
    Therefore, traditional books will continue to exist despite the rising popularity of e-books. A reader who falls in love with a book may still want to own it in the printed form, even if he had read it in an electronic form.
