   Nuclear energy by far has the smallest impact on the environment since it does not release any gases like carbon dioxide or methane which are largely responsible for greenhouse effect.
   Nuclear energy is more powerful and efficient than      other    alternative    energy    resources. Advancements in technology have made it a more viable option than other energy resources.
   Unlike traditional resources of energy like solar energy and wind energy which require sun or wind to produce electricity, nuclear energy can be produced from nuclear power plants even in the case of rough weather conditions.

   As the world’s demand for energy continues to rise, nuclear energy begins to play an increasingly important part in solving this issue. It is considered as the worthiest alternative energy for its lower greenhouse gas emissions, efficiency and reliability when compared to traditional energy resources. But the use of nuclear energy has also met with fierce opposition for its intractable radioactive waste, disastrous nuclear accidents and fearsome nuclear radiation.
   In my view, the nuclear option at the moment is better than other energy resources. First of all, nuclear energy is of low cost because its production requires less raw materials and the expense of running a nuclear power plant is rather low, even though the cost of establishing it is moderately high. Secondly, since producing nuclear energy only requires little amount of uranium, its transportation is much easier than fossil fuels. Lastly, this energy has a continuous supply. With huge reserves, its supply is believed to last much longer than that of fossil fuels.
   In brief, there are certain advantages in using nuclear energy in place of the conventional energy. Nevertheless, the difficulty in disposing of radioactive waste is still its big drawback. Hence, international cooperation is required to make sure nuclear energy is developed in strict adherence to the relevant safety standards.
