答案     Can Money Buy Happiness?
No one would deny that we are living in an increasingly commercialized society, where commodities are sold at a certain price, low or high. Happiness, however, is not a commodity. Happiness is at most associated with the materials you have. The association could be both negative and positive and it is we who should decide. I think money cannot buy happiness.
Happiness is a state of mind which goes beyond the boundary of material possession. The reason why people assume that money could buy happiness is that they follow the thought of "the more, the merrier". The more things you own, the merrier you will be. Yet this idea is not entirely true as more things may also lead to misery. For example, in the fable Unhappy King, the king, who had everything of his kingdom, was not happy at all. After an extensive search for happy people, he found that a penniless peasant was the happiest person. Even though we are not living in the fairy tale, it is still true that we can feel happy without having or buying many things.
In conclusion, happiness is in the eye of beholder, who could be rich or poor. The ability to feel happy, regardless of the amount of possessions that one has, is a truly valuable asset that no money can buy.
