Addicted to "likes"?
How many times do you check your Moments or Facebook page in a day to see whether your latest post has got another "like" or "thumbs up"? Although you might be embarrassed to admit how many times you do this, don’t worry—psychological findings have shown it’s completely normal.
According to the findings of the UCLA Brain Mapping Center, which observed 32 teens aged between 13 and 18, the feedback circuit in the teens’ brains are particularly sensitive, and the "social" and "visual" parts of their brains were activated when they received "likes" on an Instagram-like social network. The research also showed that though the thumbs up might come from complete strangers, the good they derive from it worked all the same.
So, does it mean we should try our best to win as many thumbs up as possible? In fact, too much desire for attention can create anxiety, and in turn ruin your happiness even when you get it.

答案
Say No to Social Network Addiction
When teens receive "likes" or "thumbs up" on social networks, researches show the "social" and "visual" parts of their brains become very sensitive and they themselves become pretty happy. However, anxiety will be created if teens place too much importance on getting attention. In my opinion, addiction to virtual social networks does great harm to teenagers both physically and mentally.
To begin with, addiction to virtual social network physically hurts teenagers’ eyes as they spend more and more time scrolling through social network page on their smart phones. As a result, the rate of nearsightedness among teens has gone up rapidly. Besides, teens tend to mentally depend on "likes" or "thumbs up" to fulfill their desires for self-esteem. This worsens their addiction to social networks and may have a negative influence on their values in a way like this: nothing is more significant than getting "likes" as much as possible.
To sum up, addiction to virtual social network is harmful to teens’ physical and mental health, and parents should control the time their children spend viewing Face-book page.
