    The chart reveals the negative effects on children caused by parents’ absence from home. As can be seen, the most voiced concern is that children’s study outcomes will suffer, with 47% of the respondents believing this is the case. This is followed by children’s psychological problems (27%) and life problems (25%). Other less frequently expressed concerns include children’s insufficient interpersonal skills (13%) and a sense of insecurity (10%).
    Informed by the survey results, one could understand the extent to which children are unfavorably impacted when parents are not around. Based on the results, it is not difficult to explain why left-behind children tend to underachieve at school. Without parents’ guidance, it’s hard for children to learn from good examples, and they are more likely to get distracted from study and misbehave.
    Given the negative effects, parents are advised to put their children before their business, but not the other way around. To parents, no achievement would be greater than their kid’s healthy growth.
