President Clinton has renewed his attacks on the American tobacco industry accusing it of using delaying tactics to block anti-smoking legislation. The United States has pledged 36,000,000 dollars to the United Nation Emergency Fund for Iraq. Much of the money will be spent on food, shelter, and protection for over half million Kurds in northern Iraq. UN official in Geneva said the United States is the first country to pledge money for almost 150,000,000 dollars for humanitarian assistance to Iraq over the next six months.
