A woman in Guangzhou was bitten by her pet after a taxi struck the dog at a crossing. The accident happened when the 30-year-old woman and her son were walking the dog and a taxi hit the animal. The frightened pet bit the fingers of its owner after she tried to comfort the animal.  In an attempt to save the mother from being injured, her son tried to push the dog away. The dog bit the boy’s wrist. Passers-by and police beat the dog. The woman asked for her dog back despite her wounds. One should never touch an injured animal unless it is covered by something like a blanket. Animals, even the most tamed(驯服的) pets, cannot reason when they are hurt.
