    Having just completed my degree in English in Beijing Foreign Studies University, I’m ready to begin a job in which the English language plays a vital role. Besides taking courses that focused on English writing, I was a reporter for the campus English newspaper for two years. During this time, I learned to interview and collect information effectively, to write effectively, to develop a story, to engage a reader’s interest, to meet deadlines, and to accept an editor’s revisions. Last year my feature on tourism became a series of columns.
