The way people spent their vacation changed a great deal in the 1990s. In 1990, 40% of the people spent their vacation at home, but the figure dropped to 9% in 1999. It seemed that People were becoming more and more mobile, and they wanted to explore the entertainment in the outside world.
   The seaside still had its varied attractions to people. Tie rate dropped slightly from 38% in 1990 to 30% in 1999. But there might be a tendency of further decreasing in the future because of the pollution. Now a great number of people spent their vacations travelling abroad. The late in 1999 doubled as compared with I990. And the tendency would be continuing because more and more people could afford the overseas journeys.
   Another phenomenon is that the rate of camping was rising. The reason may be that the real beauty of the nature is being rediscovered, and People themselves are getting more adventurous, eager to get closer to nature.
