    This is a chart demonstrating the changes in the amounts of foreign trade of a Chinese company in its Middle East market in the first seven years of the 21 st century.
    According to this chart, there is a dramatic change occurring in this company’s trade with its Middle East market over this short period from 2000 to 2006. Firstly there is a remarkable growth from 20 million dollars in 2000 to 40 million dollars in 2002. But unfortunately a sudden sharp fall follows, which leads to the lowest point at only 10 million dollars in 2003. The year of 2004 saw a bounce from the trough to 15 million dollars. This is a steady increase that results in a trade amount of 40 million dollars in 2006, an indication of the resurrection of this company in the Middle East market.
    There are several reasons for the dramatic changes in the company’s performance. The first reason goes to the outbreak of the Iraqi war, which gave a serious blow to all the companies involved in trade with Middle East countries. Another reason lies in the company’s lack of prepared response at emergent moments. And the bounce in its trade in this market is owing mainly to the comparative relief of the situation related to the Middle East and to the company’s proper adjustment in policy.
