答案 My dear fellow students,
    Good evening! The New Year is approaching. I’m so glad to be here to share with you my New Year’s resolution.
    Above all, I will work harder to improve my study, including English and some major courses. Actually I’ve been working hard for the CET 6 this time, memorizing vocabularies and finishing large quantities of exercises. But my knowledge of English is still so limited that I can’t find the appropriate words and phrases to express myself when I’m writing and speaking in English. And so I often stammer when I speak English, which make me flush in front of my counter speakers. Hence, I’ll practice more, especially my oral English, to make myself ready for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Then if I’m lucky enough to pass the Band 6 test this time, I’ll spend more time on my major courses. I like my major very much and I want to further my study as a postgraduate in this field.
    Apart from study, I’ve made up my mind to do some good deeds as a volunteer because helping others can make one happy. Meanwhile I’ll try to keep in good terms with my classmates and share with them our tears and joys.
    At last, to be frank, this is the first time that I’ve given a speech to so large an audience. I’m quite nervous. But let it be a good starting point of my New Year. I also hope that the coming year will be a fruitful year for every one of you.
