    Flowers are beautiful when you appreciate them far away. If they don’t smell good, do you still consider them beautiful? As for me, no. And it’s true with our human beings. As the proverb goes, "Beauty, unaccompanied by virtue, is as a flower without perfume." From my perspective, physical .beauty plays only a minor part in defining beauty. Physical beauty must be accompanied by something deeper within a person—virtues.
    With the rapid socioeconomic development, a variety of unethical behavior crop up here and there, which harms social harmony. Dishonesty, indifference, bribery, selfishness and so on, are challenging our traditional virtues. At this crucial point, we should resolutely resist immorality of any kind, regulate our own behavior and promote traditional Chinese virtues.
    Beauty is not restricted to what appeals to one’s eyes. It extends to what appeals to one’s mind as well. We shouldn’t pay attention only to beautiful appearance but neglect to beautify the mind. What we should pursue is a perfect combination of the outer beauty and the inner beauty.
