    What the drawing vividly depicts is that two people are competing for a Buddha. However, the Buddha is just waiting for his destiny helplessly. The picture illustrates a common phenomenon that nowadays people have passion for the places of interest and cultural relics but with no consciousness of protecting them. As far as I am concerned, systematic and effective measures should be taken to preserve our valuable cultural heritage.
    In the first place, the government should enforce relevant measures to ensure the relics are in good state. As the witnesses to the history of human beings which present us with the recurrence of different stages of the society, these cultural relics deserve good care. In the second place, individuals should enhance the protecting consciousness. It is true that we are all so amazed by the splendid craftsmanship and the profound cultures of the places of interest that we want to touch or hold them in person. Nevertheless, we need to know how to preserve them for their good.
    In a word, cultural relics are the treasures to the whole country. Only through careful preservation can they be in existence for a long time.
