    In the picture a mother is talking to her daughter that she saw her texting in the sleep. These words exactly convey a common idea that many a student is so obsessed with cell phone nowadays that they can not do anything without it for a minute. However, from my perspective, the cell phone plays an important but not indispensable role in students’ lives.
    It is true that the cell phone makes students’ life convenient and provides them with instant information. But it is not a necessity. In the first place, excessive addiction to cell phones may exert a negative impact on their studies. Instead of listening lectures concentratedly in class, they may be deeply intrigued by the games on the cell phone. In the second place, indulging in cell phones may isolate them from their social circles. Since students can entertain themselves with cell phones, they will not bother to communicate with others around them.
    All in all, as a product of the high technology, the cell phone really promotes our lives. Nevertheless, students whose main task is study, should not spend too much time on it.
