    The picture depicts a man who is eating breakfast says the porridge is not as delicious as last week, while the storekeeper answers that the porridge is just the one of last week. The nature of the picture reveals the demoralization of the society.
    The phenomenon described by the picture continues to exist despite the exposure by the mass media. The reason is as well-known as that people want to pursuit more profits so they use materials in bad quality, poisonous elements or just like the storekeeper in the picture, ignore the expiration date of foods. In doing so, the cost will be reduced in great degree.
    What people do reflects the demoralization of the society and people must think highly of it. On the one hand, the government should enforce market regulation, perfect relevant laws to protect the consumers’ rights. On the other hand, to improve the moral standard of whole society is the most essential and effective way. Virtues, such as honesty, integrity and consumer first, are necessary to develop and cultivate.
    In a word, the phenomenon is a serious social problem which people must pay high attention to and solve as soon as possible.
