    Lincoln’s famous remark makes it evident that making adequate preparations is essential for anyone who wants to succeed. Generally speaking, smart people prepare things well in advance and outperform those with little or no preparation.
    Preparation can make a difference to our way to success. For one thing, preparation helps us find the most efficient way to do things. Those with no preparation use the first method they can think of, but some other methods are likely to be out there and we can do things better and faster by using these methods. For another, preparation makes us ready when opportunity comes. By building our skills and acquiring knowledge, we can distinguish ourselves from others and grab the opportunity once it comes.
    As university students, only when we attach great importance to adequate preparation can we reach our goals and achieve success. Preparation allows us to pay special attention to the best method. Moreover, we can seize the opportunity as Seneca said "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."
