Hence, the value of reading books has to be highlighted again.

According to Francis Bacon, a prestigious philosopher of Renaissance, "Histories make men wise; poets witty; the mathematics subtle; natural philosophy deep." In addition, since time-honored books accumulate the wisdom of ancient talents, reading them can offer people the possibility of attaining an in-depth understanding of history and culture. Finally, books assist people in fully enjoying their leisure time.
    To sum up, it is imperative for people from all walks of life to read books—the perpetual friends in human life. Not only should we read masterpieces to attain the ancient wisdom, but we should also read other kinds of books selectively to learn human life.
