   If I studied abroad in a university, I would choose to live with a local family outside but near the campus.
   Choosing to live off the campus is based on the following considerations. First of all, living in  a local family provides me the opportunity to communicate with native people and thus to get to be more familiar with their language and culture. After all, when one is going abroad to study, one has to learn its language and culture. And in both aspects, living with a local family outside campus is better. Secondly, living outside campus makes it possible for me to have more privacy than living in dormitories on campus. I can have my own room and my own timetable while most of those have to be compromised in dormitories. Thirdly, living with a family can be more colorful. For example, I can watch TV and cook with them. Dormitories in universities might provide fewer facilities such as those.
   No doubt living on campus has its advantages. For example, one can have closer access to school library and other important learning resources. That is why I emphasized the distance at the beginning. Although ! choose living outside campus, I do not want to be too far away from campus for the reason mentioned above.
