    On campus, we can often see some students wearing famous brand clothes, shoes, mobile phones and ipods clipped to their waist-bands. And why are they fond of such making-up?
    Those students desire to keep track of what brand is trendy. For one thing, in their eyes, a famous brand is a symbol of sophistication. By parading their famous brand gear, they expect others to admire their high class and good taste. For another, they don’t pay any attention to their daily behavior and courtesy. They mistakenly think that they can buy good taste and high quality with money.
    In my opinion, good taste cannot be bought, and wearing famous brands doesn’t make a person of high class. Noble character is superior to superficial ornamentation and flashy surface. I would like to suggest that these students attach more importance to cultivating a good character. This is the only way they can acquire good taste.
