    In spring, 2003, SARS hit many parts of our country. Though it is now over, the great spiritual and material loss should never be forgotten. With sad feelings, I think, we should take the following lessens from the battle.
    All leaders and medical workers should treat epidemic incidence in a down-to-earth way. Once discovered, inform the departments concerned of the situation so as to take timely measures and organize a united campaign against it.
    Measures, both political and medical, should be taken in a concerted way. Otherwise, as we remember, fruitless efforts and even sacrifices would have to be made in front of the wide-spread epidemic.
    Continuous education has to be done to strengthen public health and get rid of bad habits, such as mindless spitting and littering.
    If such lessons can turn into nation-wide experience and measure, China will surely live a healthier nation in the word.
