    I am writing this letter in the hope that you can provide me with some advice in regard to my graduate dissertation.
    I am presently majoring in English literature, and wish to write on Analysis of Hamlet’s Character for my graduate dissertation. I believe it is a good choice, because I am really interested in Hamlet, one of Shakespeare’s greatest works. And Hamlet’s character is quite controversial. There is much to write about and a study of it will be of great academic value. Please inform me whether my choice of study is proper or not.
    In addition, I should be very obliged to you if you would kindly furnish me with the details concerning the general requirements for the graduate dissertation.
